Gravity In Space

When astronauts are seen in space they are always floating around in their shuttle. Many believe the astronauts are floating because there is no gravity. Except that there is gravity in space, astronauts are floating around because they are constantly falling, therefore, they have a sense of weightlessness. In conclusion, astronauts have a sense of weightlessness while in space because they're constantly falling, and that there is gravity in space.

Acceleration

What is the definition of acceleration? My definition of acceleration is it is the increasing burst of speed when an object first moves. Like when a car moves up a ramp the car has to increase its acceleration to contain its average speed.

Average speed and distance from Parish

My house is 3.5 miles away from parish and would take 10 minutes to drive to parish when taking spring valley.
The average speed on my way home from parish was 35 mph because it took 10 minutes and 3.5 miles. 3.5 divided by 10 is .35.

Pendulum Lab

While a pendulum is swinging the length of the rope contributes to what the outcome of the length of time the swings become. If the length of the rope is shortened, then the pendulum will swing faster. If the length of the rope is increased, then the pendulum will swing slower.

When I began the experiment, the length of the rope was 225 cm and I timed the swings with a stopwatch. I would continue to shorten the rope throughout the experiment and the shorter the rope the faster the swings and shorter time. I shortened the rope six times ending up with seven data points.

After timing the first length I ended up with 3.034 seconds. Next, I shortened the rope to 202 cm. The time decreased very little. But, as I continued to shorten the rope the time would get smaller and smaller. Thus, proving that the hypothesis I posed was correct.

The length of the pendulum would create a direct impact on the time of the swings of a pendulum.
